The alter ego is the part of someone's personality that is not usually seen by other people. My goal was to show how one can hide behind different masks. And how nowadays, we must wear different masks according to our status, to fit in or to satisfy society. The goal through my work is therefore, for us to become who we truly are.

"و لنا في الخيال حياة" means that in our imagination, we have a life. My goal for this work of art was to illustrate this quote by emplying an egyptian tradition as an illustration. Dervishes first appeared in the 12th century; they were noted for their wild or ecstatic rituals and were known as dancing, whirling, or howling dervishes according to the practice of their order.

These photographs were taken by me. My goal was to show the bright side of Egypt and the people of the country. Indeed, about 27.8 percent of the Egyptian population is currently living below the poverty line. And these people have no say or voice in the country whatsoever.

Umm Kulthum was known for her extraordinary vocal ability and style, and she was one of the greatest and most influential Arab singers of the 20th century, where she has sold over 80 million records worldwide. She was given the honorific title Kawkab al-Sharq (كوكب الشرق) ("Planet of the East") in Arabic.

For this project, we had to choose a quote and learn how to illustrate it the best way possible using typography. My quote for this task was "Form of type is like a human voice".
This task has taught me so much about experimenting and how much it helps to produce the final outcome.
American Psycho (2000)
Task: Use photography to create a series of images that suggest you are a character in a favorite film. This project has taught me how to identify the visual language that the film is using in order to communicate a sense of place, a personality type, a time, an emotion.
