In order to escape reality, we usually tend to dream/imagine another life. Our imagination is the place where we find satisfaction of our desires and motives, which we are unable to achieve in reality. It is an escape from the problems of reality, and cruelty to a purely fictional world. 

Knowing that I always like imagining things, dreaming and just zone out of this world, I chose to represent this quote by using a Dervish because there's oppression in egypt and so they dance to free themselves. This has been the aim of many modern dancers in the turn-of-the-century, as well as more recent choreographers. 

In fact, while dancing, the dervish exiles from reality, and reaches his dream. He keeps spinning and spinning, until he reaches a state of expanding consciousness, where focus, calm, creative vision, and self-knowledge come to him effortlessly.

The benefits include personal and spiritual growth, healing, self-knowledge, and enhanced artistic expression. This is why i chose warm colors for this painting. In order to reflect passion, happiness, enthusiasm and energy. As for the white, it represents the pureness of his act, it is the color of perfection. The psychological meaning of white is purity, innocence, wholeness and completion, which the dervish attends while spinning over and over again. Optimistic and positive, gold adds richness and warmth to everything with which it is associated - it illuminates and enhances other things around it.

I chose to add the gold using arabian patterns because it's a tradition that belongs to the egyptian culture which i really love.
