What first attracted me to this farmer, were his eyes. The way they shine, their brightness captivated my attention.

This project was for a party ticket at my school. I am responsable for the party's decoration and planning. 

The theme was one thousand and one nights and so I decided to add my own touch and to make something a bit different. I really struggled until I was finally satsified with the work i have done.

My goal was to create something edgy, different and fun. I was inspired by pop art. 

I liked the idea, but I wasn't happy with the design because the eyes were not visible anymore and I felt that like it looked very cheap so I then did some researches. I was very inspired by Martial Raysse, a french artist from the 20th century (picture below). That idea of the neon lips helped me create my final design. I decided to add neon lips, and transparent shades to make his eyes stand out. And a colorful background with calligraphy to capture people's attention and add an arabian touch to it. 

And finally, the farmer appears to be a bit humiliated, because to the society he is nothing. But through his eyes, he sees the world behind these shades of pureness, and calmness. He manages to have an optimistic vision of life. 

And these lips are preventing him from having a say in the government.

The things I loved the most while doing this project, was seeing the progress I've been able to achieve and the things I've learned in order to finally arrive to the final design.
